Come Dine With Me - No. 11 - Soft Pink, French, Vintage Look...

So very pretty.....

And, as always, as a part of the 'Come Dine With Me' series.....

Ask yourself: 'Do I savour the ritual of eating with my family and/or friends whenever I can?'

Which leads to: 'When, or how, can I include this precious time together more?'

Because: There's something so primitively delightful and bonding about the 'breaking of bread' (so to speak) with our loved ones. It's a ritual and a tradition that's been crowded out and lost amongst television, technology, and texting!

It's time to 'get together' and connect the old fashioned way again.

  1. Oh my goodness, what a heavenly dining room! We tend to only eat together on weekends because the boys eat way earlier than us & are off to bed, I'm so looking forward to the days when it is all of us together at the table every night, sharing the news of our days. Being together at dinner time really is important, I think, treasured times...

  2. Life is just so busy now. I feel good inside when I am around a long table of people eating. Charmaine

  3. i agree about having people over to "dine" - as often as possible we try to organise get togethers around a meal - not always achievable - but very desirable.

can't wait for the day to be able to set a table again - there is always such a hurry to sit down that the beautification is mostly forgotten :(

  4. Wow - to be honest, I would never think that this would be my style, but I love it!! I can't wait until I have my own home that I can decorate and paint the way I want!

  5. The room is so inviting! I love it when people put in the TLC especially into dining. :)

  6. My sister, boyfriend and I have started Sunday Night dinners as a way to make time to share a good meal with family.

We've taken a few cooking classes together over the past few months and try to get inspired enough to put some real thought into the meal and go a bit fancy.

It doesn't happen every week, but last night we shared a wonderful meal by my sister around her coffee table.

It was casual yet intimate and I loved it! Especially the part where I didn't have to clean up afterwards :)

  7. It's something I need to pay a lot more attention to myself.... 'busyness' just gets in the way too much, and I've got to learn to make time for it.

LLLN, Not having to clean up afterwards sounds fab to me!!!
