Come Dine With Me - No. 20 - A Little Bit French...

Ooh la la! A little bit French indeed.

It's probably not quite my usual cup of tea, but it is very pretty!

And, as always, as a part of this series.....

Ask yourself: 'Do I savour the ritual of eating with my family/friends whenever I can?'

Which leads to: 'When, or how, can I include this precious time together more?'

Because: There's something so primitively delightful and bonding about the 'breaking of bread' (so to speak) with our loved ones. It's a ritual and a tradition that's been crowded out and lost amongst television, technology, and texting! It's time to 'get together' and connect the old fashioned way again.

  1. What?? There is nothing red there! It's all creamy white!! Linda, am I contagious ? You're beginning to question you love for color like I am doing? Should I worry?
Lovely room anyway. A lot french. I'm thinking about omelettes now. Mhhmm.

  2. Hehehe, don't worry, everything is ok in the 'red' department. I can like things like this photo from afar, knowing full well that if it was at my place I'd be having red withdrawals in a day or so.

    Must have my red!!

Although, I am going through a period of wanting to whizz around the house and change everything at the moment.... just a phase I go through!

When I think of French food I think of croissants..... yum.

  3. Hi Linda, as always a very thoughtful post. As a family we sit down for a meal every night, table set with a candle and eat as a family. This is our ritual that I would hope my boys continue with their own children one day. I must admit our meal times are loud, stressful with the boys fighting but it is ours! I wouldnt change it for anything (well perhaps the yelling thing why you are trying to digest your meal haha)

  4. Lovely, lovely room - you know I'm the Queen of White! Still, I'd probably sneak some more sturdy or aged looking things in there, to counter the 'girlishness' of it all. I'd like a sturdy wooden table in there for instance.

I like cooking and whipping up some nice things for my friends. Would be great if you and Bobbi could come to my place for an Afternoon Tea or a proper Indonesian meal! ;-)
