Love the bright, serene, calm, and replenishing vibe in this room...
Striped walls always look good to me too!
And, as always, as a part of this series.....
Ask yourself: 'Do I savour the ritual of eating with my family/friends whenever I can?'
Which leads to: 'When, or how, can I include this precious time together more?'
Because: There's something so primitively delightful and bonding about the 'breaking of bread' (so to speak) with our loved ones. It's a ritual and a tradition that's been crowded out and lost amongst television, technology, and texting! It's time to 'get together' and connect the old fashioned way again.

I love having family dinners. Since hubby and I moved into our very first home last April, we have really begun a ritual of having family dinners at our home. Every Wednesday night, my sister and her family come over and we have a real sit down meal with good conversation. The kids love it and it gives all a good chance to catch up with each other.

Hej Linda
ReplyDeleteLove this room...so calm & serene as you say.
I like and believe what you have written.
Arrived back from London late last night and shared lovely meals with our parents ;-)
WE always eat at the table together as a family 95 percent of the time.
I think this is sooo important.
I always remember these words
"The family that eats together & prays together stays together..."
I hope that will ring true for our family.
LOVE PEACE enJOY your meals together

I love love love to entertain. Friends and family are always welcome to come to dinner. Even if it's a simple meal, it must be in the dining room and the 2nd most important rule is to turn off the cell phones. Dinner and conversation around the table is so much more important than any text or call.
ReplyDeleteThe 1st most important rule -
Eat, Drink and be Merry
Me too! At the table! Chatting and enjoying. Your photo is my style!
ReplyDeleteLove the striped walls too! :)
ReplyDeleteI don't currently spend enough time enjoying fine food and company ... but that's certainly something on my list to address this year (as you can tell, I have quite a few changes on my horizon).
