Monday Music - From One Of The Masters.... Solsbury Hill

This is where it all began (personally one of my fave articles ever!!).

Music is SO important to the happiness of my home. :)

Now most Monday mornings when the working week looms I'll try to post a fave song or some music I'm listening to at the moment to provide some musical motivation.

So my little groovers......... here's today's installment!

*****************************

Today we have someone I consider one of the best musicians of the last couple of decades. Whether by himself, or with Genesis, Peter Gabriel is a performer who always sounded just as good live as he did recorded.

This is an earlier live version of one of my favourite songs of his, Solsbury Hill. Timeless.

And, if you're looking for more great music, Bec over at Memory Garden often has a lovely song to listen to on Mondays as well!

And, as always when thinking of our 'Musical Must Haves' section...

Ask yourself: 'Do I L.O.V.E music?'

Which leads to: 'Have I got enough of it in my home and in my life?'

Because: Good interior design caters to ALL our senses, not just our eyes.... that's why I call it 'Atmospheric Design' instead!

  1. Hi Linda :) First time I have had a chance to stop by in a few weeks, lovely to catch up! I laughed today at your monday music, it is my partners all time favourite song!! In fact, you and he have very similar taste in music, he has a giggle almost everytime I press play on one of your songs lol

  2. Ohhhh I love Peter Gabriel!! I've seen in him in concert twice and it was magical. Such a great artist and a great person.

And thanks for your words about my uncle Linda, I deeply appreciate it. He was old and sick and we were waiting for him to go, but as much as you are relieved that his suffering is over, it's a part of your life that goes away. Anyway, I have "little burrito" who's making me laugh all the time, and in this very stressful moment of my life it is such a gift.

    Thanks Linda!

  3. Hey Bec, you've been busy spending time on that beautiful beach I saw photos of! Lucky girl. :) Glad your partner gets a kick and a giggle out of the music here.... it's one thing (as well as books) that can make people feel at home with one another I think! If you like the same music you're well on the way to being friends!

Bobbi, you are so welcome. I don't think it matters how long you know ahead of time that someone is sick, or old, it still really hits you when they pass, and doesn't make the grieving process much easier. My dad was ill for 3 years with Leukemia, and we knew how it would prob end after the first year or so, but it didn't help much when the end finally came after all that pain and suffereing (and there was a lot). Wonderful memories like the ones you have with your Uncle Sergio are so precious.

So glad your little kitten is making you smile. What a piece of 'fate' that was!

    Much love,

    Linda. x
