Fearless Fantasy Friday - Think Big, Bold, and Bright!

For today's Fearless Fantasy Friday we're going big, bold, bright, daring, eclectic and adventurous!

Here's a collection of rooms where fear was not an option and pattern, colour, and texture thrive!

The Fearless Fantasy Friday motto:

Don't listen to anyone.
Trust what gives you pleasure.
Trust the emotions.
If you love something but can't explain why, that's enough.   (Calice Becker)

  1. Oh yes, never listen to other people opinions about bright colors! Most people are chickens, and can't face colors.
These are pretty amazing rooms: I adore the coffee table in the first picture, the feel of the fifth (I just KNOW it's a house by the sea!), and the sofa in the sixth , look how widw the sit is!! I could lay there all day. It's one of my favorite color too.
So sad you have strays around your home. Glad they can steal Jessie's food. We don't have strays, I'm lucky enough to have lovely neighbours, and all the strays that come by end up being rescued and they become farm cats. how lucky for cats to live in my area!!

  2. Wow Linda, they are really inpsirational photos!
In some of them, its amazing what a shot of colour in the form of some well chosen stunning flowers can make!
In others, its the fabrics or wall colours that make them stunning and vibrant.
I personally love the rooms which have deceptively neutral elements as a background, as the room can be changed by just changing elements such as rugs, cushions, artwork, accessories etc and maybe the wall colour - cheaper than changing the furniture!
Glad you liked the painted fruniture post - I tend to sand by hand unless its a largish area I'm sanding, but those little mouse sanders are really useful too, and you obviously get a far better, smoother surface/finish.
Hope I may have inspired you to get painting that furniture you mentioned!!!
    Go for it!

  3. Oh yes, love that coffee table Bobbi, agreed!

And, I so agree Gilly, it's the easy things like rugs, cushions (oh how I love cushions), art-work etc that can really make a room and be so simple to change when you feel like re-inventing the space! I have neutral walls at home (grey), but colour everywhere else in buckets!

No excuse about the sanding and painting then... all I need is some sandpaper and I'm good to go!
