How inviting and summery it looks!!
I love that light fixture, very eyecatching. And, those cushions are attracting my attention too..... nothing like a good cushion to complete a room!

And, as always, as a part of the 'Come Dine With Me' series.....
Ask yourself: 'Do I savour the ritual of eating with my family and/or friends whenever I can?'
Which leads to: 'When, or how, can I include this precious time together more?'
Because: There's something so primitively delightful and bonding about the 'breaking of bread' (so to speak) with our loved ones. It's a ritual and a tradition that's been crowded out and lost amongst television, technology, and texting!
It's time to 'get together' and connect the old fashioned way again.
Happy, happy weekend everyone!!

Oh yes gorgeous! Bring on warm summery weather for all that outdoor entertaining & spending good quality fun family time! Right now it's pouring rain, freezing cold, everyone was bathed & into bed nice & early (which is nice) but those lazy summer, anything goes nights are heaven...
ReplyDeletethese days desireable dining is a cardboard box that someone else filled :)
ReplyDeleteMel, I wrote this post a few days ago in readiness for today..... and THEN....look what happened to the weather today - YUCK!! I swear it seems like we're back in the middle of Winter again.
ReplyDeleteAnd Lee, once again, YOU CRACK ME UP! I nearly spat my tea out when I read your comment. Too funny! I really love good old Noodle Box, I get 2 meals out of one of their boxes. Yummy and good value (and fairly healthy too as far as take-away food goes!).

That LAMP!!! MARVELOUS!!!
ReplyDeleteSorry for the webscreaming, i couldn't help. The tablecloth is also fantastic. I wonder what tehy're about to eat. Cake? It would be the perfect place for a late brunch with friends. I love brunch. I always go for a brunch on Sunday morning even if I'm alone. It relaxes me.
Have an amazing spring weekend (lucky you!!)

I agree. That lamp is phenomenal.
ReplyDeleteGreat questions to ponder. I've actually been thinking along these lines because we recently started saying grace before dinner with our kids (ages 3 and 5) and they love it because we all hold hands. It got me thinking about our eating rituals.
