Fearless Fantasy Friday - A Bold Gallery Wall....
I've always wanted one of those built-in bookcases that goes around and over a window, but now I'm thinking I've got another idea for what to put around a lovely window....
A gallery wall!
The 'sea' theme in this grouping of pictures and artworks is invoked via pictures of boats and ships, some old sea captains, a sailing boat blueprint, and other bits and pieces. I love the little bust of a sea captain on the table too.
What a fearless way of decorating a wall.... no holding back here!
The whole room is very calm, yet bold and distinctive with its eclectic mix of furniture, little objects, the ultra modern light fitting, and of course the variety of frames and pics on the wall.
And, see the room divider over there on the right? I think it has a covering of maps on it... how perfect. (Plays right into my 'thing' for maps).

The Difference Between Women and Men...
I know not all men are like this and it's a huge generalisation but....my friend sent me this pic via email a while ago, and I had a bit of a laugh....
As my partner used to run the paint department in a large paint store and has done a colour consultation course, he's probably somewhere in the middle which is nice! I have very intelligent conversations about colour with him. :)

A Cosy Office Area...Plus Two More Lovely Rooms
I love this office area.... books, a globe, butterflies (although I wish they weren't real ones), my fave autumnal colours, nature inspired objects. All things I've got a fascination for!
Being the night owl I am, I could just imagine myself typing away here within a cosy pool of lamplight into the wee hours!
I love these following pics as well for their displays of natural objects, gorgeous mix of colours, and thoughtful vignettes.
I could quite happily have rooms like these in my own home!

Monday Mojo - Covet Garden...
Happy Monday morning lovlies!
Last week was a super busy week around here, and the blog has been suffering a bit - sorry!
I really wanted to give you some Monday Mojo though, so I'm giving you a peek into one of Covet Garden's issues.
Covet Garden is a different kind of design magazine. They're interested in spaces that have not been styled by interior decorators and that, above all else, reflect the passions and interests of those who live in them.
This bite size, but very juicy little mag focuses on the creative home of one couple or person at a time, and gives us a glimpse into places that inspire with their uncommon and attainable décor ideas.
In this issue you get to see inside the home of two artists and a musician who all live together. Follow the links on the pages to find out where they get their stuff and how to make Heather's lovely origami boxes!

Fearless Fantasy Friday - It's The Wallpaper Again...
This fascination I have with wallpaper on the ceiling is becoming quite 'full on' - lol.
Whilst lots of the wallpaper I see in images where it's on the ceiling is a little overwhelming or overdone... I really do think there's a place for elegant and tastefully chosen wallpaper above our heads!
The picture below grabbed my attention during a google search, and then the whole apartment of Jenna Lyons became a curiosity I wanted to explore.
I think Jenna is one lady who doesn't listen to the 'don't do it gremlins' and is a fearless decorator!

Come Dine With Me - No. 17 - A Nook By Palmer Weiss
Woah... I LOVE everything about this little dining nook!
The bright colours (I'm particularly into that yellow at the moment... to the point I'm pondering painting a wall in it), the mixture of materials, pattern and textures, the gorgeous artwork...
This room just hits my sweet spot today!
And, as always, as a part of this series.....
Ask yourself: 'Do I savour the ritual of eating with my family/friends whenever I can?'
Which leads to: 'When, or how, can I include this precious time together more?'
Because: There's something so primitively delightful and bonding about the 'breaking of bread' (so to speak) with our loved ones. It's a ritual and a tradition that's been crowded out and lost amongst television, technology, and texting! It's time to 'get together' and connect the old fashioned way again.
