Whoopee - Lucky Me!

I am sooooo happy! On the weekend I bought myself a brand new camera. I've not had a camera for the last 2 years, and I decided it's about time I was able to add my own photos (like this one) to my blog. I was lucky Shannon (Auntie Cookie) let me use one of hers for my give-away.

So I went out and bought a Canon Powershot ixus 105 (for a really great price!)

Now I can take photos, experiment, play around, share some shots of my home etc with you.

Whoopeeeeee!

In the pic above you can see the lovely limited edition, screen printed, linen and denim Ampersand Cushion Cover I'm giving away at the moment - just leave a comment here to enter (there's still 4+ days to go!).

You can also see, if you look behind it, a tiny bit of what appears to be a map of the Paris Metropolitan Underground.

But guess what?

It's a large (60cm x 60cm), groovy, linen cushion cover!! One of the others to be featured in my shop. Just giving you a sneak peak - he he.

I have a 'thing' about maps and globes, (as noted in this post, and this one too), so this cover was a must have for my shop.

I have a London map cushion cover as well, with London landmarks on it.

Can't wait to show them to you for real!

PS: Remember to enter to win  the lovely Ampersand Cushion Cover by Auntie Cookie! There's still 4+ days to go. All you have to do is leave a comment and you're in the running. :)

PPS: If you blog about the give-away like the lovely Nerine and Bobbi, I'll pop in an extra entry for you. Just let me know in the comments here, or on the original post.

  1. Hi! I just wrote a post about your giveaway on my blog. You know what? The cushionista button is really cute, you should make it as a real button, not just an image...just an idea. Anyway, I'm adding it to my sidebar as it is...
    have a great day!

  3. Hmmmm, great idea actually!! I think I'll make it up as a button with some code to grab. I'll put it on my shop and this site for others to grab for their sites, that way I can get some link love if people use it!

Thanks so much for the post! I just added a bit to this post to say if people blog about the give-away I'll pop in an extra entry.... so consider that another entry for you!

And thanks for the info on the Carbon Neutral thing. I'll do it next week once I get the give away finalised!

  7. Thanks Hune (yes I tweet - although a bit inconsistently), Carmelina, and Mel!!

2 Canon's Carmelina, so blessed! I'm loving mine. I was advised to get this one by a friend after I told them what I was after, and after checking myself and doing lots of research. Am very happy with my purchase. :)

Mel, thanks for doing that! Yep, I have a 'thing' about quite a few things - lol!. So much so, that I created a category for it in my posting...... I think it's important to recognise what you've 'gotta thing for' as incorporating them into your home is an amazing way of connecting heart and home.

My 'things' include: owls, butterflies, trees and acorns, maps, books, keys, the colour red, celtic artefacts.... and more!!!

Another entry in for you. :)
