Fearless Fantasy Friday - A Red Door...

Oh yes... in my fantasy world I have a beautiful home with a garden that includes a few oak trees, (maybe some willows down by a pond), and there are also pine trees around too. None of these are too close to the house, but close enough to feel their majestic and stable presence.

And, when you get down the paved driveway (made using old recycled bricks perhaps), you're faced with a front door something like this one.

This little oasis could be in the middle of a city.... my own private sanctuary to feel cocooned in. Or, a bit further out in the country.

Either way, one day I WILL have a red door!

P.S. There's a give-away coming up soon! I haven't had one for ages and ages. If you're into cushions, stay tuned!!

  1. Looks like Fitra 2009, whoever or whatever it is, leaves the same comment on every blog. What energy.

That door comes straight from a fairy tale. Wonderful. I would like to know if the interior matches the redness of the door, or if it has a completely different color theme and style. Let's ring the bell!

Every time I come to your blog and read the date on your post I gasp. Then I remember you are 24 hours ahead. Linda, you Australians make me feel like I'm late. I am, always, but not so much!

    1. Haha about the feeling late Bobbi!! It was only just gone Friday too, a little after midnight, so it would be really early over there for you!

I'd love to ring the bell too - wouldn't it be delightful. :)

  3. I very much like the sounds of your fantasy home and garden ... and I adore the red door. They always create such drama at an entrance (in a very good way). My current front door is boring and brown - I really should change that.

    1. Hey Tracey, mine's boring and brown too! Some nice carving, but still boring and brown. I have looked into getting it painted in high gloss red, but have never gotten around to it. I think the other people in my unit complex, most of whom seem to be over 70, would have a heart attack if I actually did it - lol!! One day. Other things on the list to do first!

  4. Heehee!! That'd be something - the Queen of Red going Orange! But I bet loads of red items will be found behind that door no matter what! ;-)

I would really want to have a peek behind this door like Bobbi...
