The First 'Lovely Links' Showcase - And A Thank You
Hello Wonderfuls!
I've been mulling over how to thank and support those bloggers who've supported, followed, or linked to me so far.... and I think I've come up with a way!
Every month or so, I'm going to put up a 'Lovely Links' Showcase post for my followers to showcase their own favourite posts.
It doesn't have to fit a particular theme.... it just has to be a post you particularly loved, or one you're most proud of, or something you'd love to share... a lovely quote, a gorgeous pic?
If people like this idea, then I'll continue it ad infinitum.
So thanks lovelies! I really appreciate your support. :)
I've added my 2 fave posts of the last week or so below to show what it looks like.

this is a very good idea...you should work as a PR as well as a designer...
ReplyDeleteI have to think wichi post i like more!!
Bobbi
P.S.
have a great week end!!
Done! Button now goes directly to the Ampersand cushion.
ReplyDeleteTerrific idea, it could take me some time to properly understand how it works, (lol). It sounds very generous. xo Have a great weekend :-)
Lol Bobbi - I try!!
ReplyDeleteNerine, I don't see your link in the post above!
You can choose any post of your own you'd like to link to in this post above. You click on the little 'add your link' button near the bottom of the post (the one with the little blue monster face on it), and then add the link to your actual blog post in the URL box.
Then it brings up all the pics from your actual post so you can choose one to be the thumbnail, then you fill out your email, click the final button, and VIOLA, your link appears next to the others at the bottom of the post!
That way people reading the post will see your link and pic, and hopefully click through to see what it's about!!

ooooh...silly me!!hehe, I was talking about my own blog, I had your button on my side bar but it linked back to your blog and now it links directly to your competition post. Thanks for explaining that other link again...like I said it could take me some time :D but I think I've got it now. xo
ReplyDeleteYay Nerine! I've just re-written my original post a bit to make it easier to follow.... it was a bit vague when I read back over it! It should make more sense now hopefully.
ReplyDeletePeople will get the hang of it as we go on.
Linda. xox :)
PS: Can you tell I'm having fun with my new camera! I took a pic of the 'Lovely Links' banner I made up so we could have a nice header!
ReplyDeleteI was a bit peeved that I only had letters the same colour for the 'l' and the 'y' in Lovely, but it will do! (I only had one small 'l' left, so I had to use a big one for the beginning of the two words - lol!)
Linda. :)
lol- so I'm not going gaga and now I fit the bill I think?? I have added the 'I believe in home button' but seriously I think I should go back to bed. The link sign looks terrific and so easy to see, can't be missed by sleepy eyes :D
ReplyDeleteOf course you do Nerine! You don't have to have the 'I Believe In Home' button on your blog to add your 'Lovely Link' in the post above, you just need to be a follower!
ReplyDeleteBUT, if you have the 'I Believe In Home' button, you can have 2 more 'Lovely Links' (if you wanted..... like links to different posts). So that would be 3 altogether!
Thanks for adding the 'I Believe In Home' button to your site... now you can add your own link (like the ones above) on the actual 'I Believe In Home' permanent page where it can always be found.
Linda.xox :)
